i am having a application made in visual studio 2005 which uses crystal report version 10.2.3600.0 . i am using CRRedist2005_x86.msi... it works fine on all xp machines... but does not work on windows 7 64 bit machine...
my client machine is 64 bit but the application i build is in x86 target platform in C# Visual studio 2008 with win7 32 bit. Now the problem is when i click crystal report button on my application it gives me this error. It works perfectly fine on development machine but on client i just see this message box again and again.
crystal report v10.2.3600.0 runtime for windows 7 64 bit
I am using first time crystal reports in C# but it gave me very hard time just to install it on the client machine. I have googled and found solutions most of them i have tried like setting prerequisites and changing mode from Any CPU to x86 but none has fix my error.
I found the answer what i did is i have opend the directory in my development machine C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages\CrystalReports10_5 and copied the runtime exe for crystal reports and than i have ran it manually on the client machine. By doing this my client machine is now able to run crystal reports perfectly fine. I believe i should store this crystal report runtimes in my setup program for other clients.
Your application is targeting x86 version and you are installing in 64 bit machine, right?I think crpt x64 installer is corrupted. After making installer,go to debug folder and find crystal report folder. You can see two crpt installer, one is x86 and another is x64. Delete x64 installer. copy x86 to another place and rename it as x64.Then recopy to crpt folder. Now check installation.I think I can make you understand.
So I figured out that crystal reports has an issue where the x64 version doesn't have any initializers, and so trying to initialize it in my program is causing an error.I have verified that if I uninstall the x64 version, and install the x86 32bit version, the program works fine. I've read that some people had sucess just running the program in 32bit mode, but for whatever reason that didn't work for me.
first change your platform target of your project as x86 then compile again and install this setup in your windows 7 64 bit pc (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\BootStrapper\Packages\CrystalReports\CRRedist2005_x86.msi) and try to open your reports.
I mean, I load some rpt files (built them on crystal report 2008) and then using crystal object to export the file to xls/pdf, change the headers, make a flush to the browser and it works, this on windows server 2003/Seven/XP but the site doesn't work on Windows server 2008, I guess that I need a redistributable, but, which one ?
I need to install the developed package on Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit, but crystal report version 13_0_21 runtime is not going to install here. It shows following error message. I have tried after installing different version of C++ redistributable but no luck. Please suggest how I can fix theis problem. This is second day I am stuck this issue. Thanks
I have developed an application in php that exports pdf with crystal reports using COM such as "CrystalReports115.ObjectFactory.1". It works on my machine that has full crystal report installed. I'm looking to load into another machine.
During our compatibility tests, we bump into an issue indicating the crystal reports runtime is not available. I'm leaving out the exception detail here, as it is in Dutch, but basically it is saying that the runtime is not installed correctly, and that I should install the distributable CRRedist*.msi.
I have already a finished C#.net application with Crystal Reports, it is working properly on my machine. but when I already deployed the release exe file and configuration file. the client machine cannot run.so i tried to install crystal report run-time and it works.
1. You need the latest SP of Crystal for Visual Studio which you can get from here: SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio: Updates & Runtime Downloads. Get the "Install Executable" for integration into Visual Studio. Make sure you uninstall any earlier versions of the SDK prior to running this install! Crystal for VS does not "play well" when installed side-by-side with earlier versions of the SDK. DO NOT install any of the other downloads from this page on the development workstation.\\n\\n2. Since you will have uninstalled the earlier version of the SDK, VS will no longer be confused about what to reference. The easiest way I can think of to make sure that everything comes through correctly would be to delete the CrystalReportsViewer from your project and then re-add it. This will ensure that all of the assemblies required by the viewer are referenced in your project.\\n\\n3. You can select any of the runtimes from the page referenced above, but most people I know use the .msm install. Also, DO NOT target your application for "Any CPU", you need to specifically choose either "x86" or "x64". For the first, you need the 32-bit .msm install (and 32-bit database drivers), for the second you need the 64-bit .msm and 64-bit database drivers. Another thing, make sure you're targeting the full version of the .NET 4.0 Framework and not the "Client" version - the SDK will not work with any of the client versions.\\n\\n-Dell\",\"author\":\"username\":\"dell.stinnett-christy\",\"displayName\":\"Dell Stinnett-Christy\",\"groupIcons\":[\"name\":\"champion\",\"title\":\"This user is an SAP Champion\",\"priority\":14,\"name\":\"moderator\",\"title\":\"This user is an SAP Moderator\",\"priority\":20],\"suspended\":false,\"isCurrentUser\":false,\"parentAuthor\":\"username\":\"former.member\",\"displayName\":\"Former Member\",\"groupIcons\":[],\"suspended\":true,\"isCurrentUser\":false,\"id\":11933627,\"creationDate\":1441203372000,\"activeRevisionId\":12312621,\"lastActivity\":1441203373000,\"parentId\":11932001,\"originalParentId\":11929520,\"likeCount\":0,\"visibility\":\"full\",\"depth\":0,\"attachments\":[],\"canVoteUpOrCancel\":false,\"relations\":\"canReport\":false,\"visibility\":\"full\",\"canEdit\":false,\"canUseDelete\":false,\"isLiked\":false,\"type\":\"comment\",\"canVoteUpOrCancel\":false,\"canConvertToAnswer\":false,\"canBeModerated\":false,\"canViewRevisions\":false,\"showInReply\":false,\"reported\":false,\"canCancelReport\":false,\"canDelete\":false,\"canVoteDownOrCancel\":false,\"canComment\":false,\"canViewReports\":false,\"isCurrentUserAuthor\":false,\"moderatorComment\":false,\"liked\":false}]}}"); const simplifiedQuestionView = JSON.parse("true"); (function() window.pageContext = mergeDeep(pageContext, question: id: 11929520, plug: "crystal-report-version-10-not-working-as-expected-", votes: 0, questionTitle: "Crystal report version 10 not working as expected in IE 11 but work in Chrome", isClosed: false, isLocked: false, isRedirected: false, redirectedFromTitle: "", redirectedFromId: "", closedStatusData: JSON.parse(""), userVoted: false, relations: JSON.parse("\"canClose\":false,\"canUnredirect\":false,\"canReport\":false,\"visibility\":\"full\",\"canEdit\":false,\"canUseDelete\":false,\"canReopen\":false,\"type\":\"question\",\"canVoteUpOrCancel\":false,\"canViewRevisions\":true,\"canUnlock\":false,\"reported\":false,\"canVoteDownOrCancel\":false,\"canLock\":false,\"canCancelReport\":false,\"canComment\":true,\"isCurrentUserAuthor\":false,\"canViewReports\":false"), isQuestionAccepted: true , childToViewInfo: id: "" , comments: JSON.parse("\"11931661\":\"rootParentId\":11931661,\"commentsCount\":2,\"comments\":[\"body\":\"1.
